About the Event
Caribbean countries are vulnerable to natural disasters and climate impacts, which generate massive economic and human costs. Investing in disaster preparedness and climate resilience can help reduce these costs. While climate finance has traditionally been concentrated on mitigating climate impacts and post-disaster relief, available financing for building resilience is growing. These resources, however, remain limited and somewhat difficult to access. This Round Table aims to provide an overview of climate funds with a view to demystify them and generate greater understanding of their availability and access. It will also provide an overview of relevant country experiences in leveraging climate resources and developing resilience projects.
